• Battery life varies by usage — the backlight and motion sensor draw more power than a basic remote, so heavy use may mean more frequent battery changes than older Fire TV remotes

Setup & Care

Insert the included AAA batteries, then press and hold the Home button for 10 seconds to pair automatically with your Fire TV device. If it doesn't pair right away, go to Settings → Controllers and Bluetooth Devices → Amazon Fire TV Remotes → Add New Remote. To keep it working reliably, replace batteries at the first sign of slow response, and keep the remote within 30 ft of your Fire TV device for the remote finder feature to work.
